Administration of the Transitional Year Program
Dr. Darrell W. Harrington, the TY Program Director, is a graduate of the UCLA School of Medicine. He served his residency in Medicine and his fellowship in General Internal Medicine here at Harbor-UCLA. He is an Associate Clinical Professor of Medicine and is Chief of the Division of General Internal Medicine. He is also Chair of the Transitional Year Education Committee. As the Program Director, he is always accessible to the Transitional Year residents. Dr. Harrington has recently been appointed Associate Medical Director for Medical Education and serves as the Director of Graduate Medical Education. The program coordinator is Melissa Moncada also administrative assistant in the Graduate Medical Education office. The Residency Program in Internal Medicine is the major sponsor of the Transitional Year.
